PORTLAND, OR – Shaffer & Nelson Inc., a top-performing manufacturer’s
representative in the Pacific Northwest, and Hoyt NW, a leading agency serving the electrical
industry in Oregon and Southwest Washington, announced their finalized merger and purchase
agreement. The new entity moving forward will be known as Unified Solutions NW. The
purchase places Rhonda Vaught as the principal owner of the agency. The transition has been in
motion since August 2023 and combines the robust expertise of both organizations to deliver
enhanced solutions to the stakeholders each have served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Shaffer & Nelson has been servicing the electrical market in Oregon, Washington, Idaho,
Montana, and Alaska for 75 years. Hoyt NW has been in business for 34 years in Oregon & SW
Washington, with the past 7 years under the leadership of Rhonda Vaught. Both organizations
have long-standing partnerships with leading manufacturers and distributors. Unified Solutions
NW is poised to continue to grow and provide value to the customers they serve.

The merger between Shaffer & Nelson and Hoyt NW comes through the shared vision of
Adams and Vaught. Through months of discussions, they identified the opportunity to combine
their core competencies and create an enhanced agency. The resulting entity, Unified Solutions
NW, is positioned to offer unparalleled solutions in the Greater Northwest marketplace.

inside sales support personnel and a total of eight outside salespeople, Unified Solutions NW is
well-positioned to continue partnering with like-minded manufacturers and provide exceptional
