The company was wholly owned by Mr.<br>Sam Scott, who passed away earlier this year. Mr. Scott also founded Scott Electric Company,<br>headquartered in Greensburg PA, where he was the President until 2012 when the company<br>became Employee Owned. Scott Electric provided management, operational, accounting, and<br>other services to Scott Electric Supply but did not own the business.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Mr. Scott\u2019s passing, the responsibility of Scott Electric Supply was passed to his<br>Living Trust and is managed by its Trustees. The Trustees decided to sell certain assets of Scott<br>Electric Supply to Green Mountain Electric Supply.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On behalf of the Trustees, Bob Coletta, Assistant General Manager and Purchasing<br>Manager of Scott Electric, said, \u201cIt was a tough decision to make, but in the end, it was the best<br>circumstance for settling Mr. Scott\u2019s affairs with his Living Trust. Our main concern was making<br>sure all of the employees of Scott Electric Supply would have jobs. Green Mountain was very<br>accommodating and made sure that would be the case.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Green Mountain, headquartered in Colchester, VT, has locations in Vermont, New<br>Hampshire, Maine and western NY. The company has aggressively been growing its western NY<br>footprint and now has 18 locations throughout western NY, making it the largest independent<br>electrical distributor in the market.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nathan Laber, President and CEO of Green Mountain commented \u201cScott Electric Supply<br>has a strong presence and great reputation throughout the Buffalo and Fredonia markets.
