{"id":57201,"date":"2022-01-25T08:10:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-25T16:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/electricalnews.com\/?p=57201"},"modified":"2022-01-24T15:15:58","modified_gmt":"2022-01-24T23:15:58","slug":"chalfant-joins-etim-north-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/electricalnews.com\/chalfant-joins-etim-north-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Chalfant Joins ETIM North America"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>          SALT LAKE CITY, UT \u2013 ETIM North America (NA) announced that Chalfant, a leading provider of cable tray, wire basket and other cable management systems joined ETIM NA\u2019s classification standards association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>          Chalfant joins almost 30 industry leaders including ABB, Eaton, Atkore and Legrand, as well as distributors like Sonepar, Graybar, Summit and McNaughton-McKay in ETIM NA-led committee activity to build out the classification model according to the needs of the North American electrical market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>          \u201cWe\u2019re excited to have Chalfant join our group of industry-leading manufacturers to share their product expertise as we refine the ETIM terminology and add additional product Classes to ensure that the model meets the needs of the North American electrical industry,\u201d said Mary Shaw, ETIM NA Executive Director. \u201cChalfant sees the importance of improving product data quality to enhance customer online experience and giving back to the industry to help it move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>           As a Direct Member, Chalfant can participate in as many ETIM NA Product Expert (PE) Groups as their expertise falls. Given the breadth of the company\u2019s offerings, this may include the Power Distribution group, Wire \/ Cable group and a forthcoming Cable Management group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>          \u201cChalfant looks forward to contributing to, and supporting, ETIM North America,\u201d said Chuck Labow, Chalfant\u2019s President and GM.\u00a0 \u201cOur parent company, OBO Betterman, has participated in ETIM Germany for years and it has made our company better, made product content better and more importantly, enabled us to serve our customers better. As a company committed to growth, we see the ETIM model as a path forward to supporting our customers and making our product content more accessible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>          According to Shaw, ETIM NA is making great progress. In 18 months, the association has recruited almost 30 members including eCommerce content providers Distributor Data Solutions (DDS), IDEA, Trimble and BlueVolt, key organizations including IMARK Group, EFC and NEMRA and countless distributors and manufacturers. ETIM NA recently released 63 Classes comprising over 4200 features \/ values in English US and expects to release another 250+ classes by the end of the year.
