{"id":57085,"date":"2021-12-28T23:29:07","date_gmt":"2021-12-29T07:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/electricalnews.com\/?p=57085"},"modified":"2021-12-28T23:29:09","modified_gmt":"2021-12-29T07:29:09","slug":"wounded-veteran-receives-trackchair-from-atlas-american-lighting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/electricalnews.com\/wounded-veteran-receives-trackchair-from-atlas-american-lighting\/","title":{"rendered":"Wounded Veteran Receives Trackchair from Atlas American Lighting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>       BURLINGTON, NC &#8211; The Independence Fund and Atlas American Lighting presented an all-terrain trackchair to a seriously wounded veteran Friday September 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0at Atlas\u2019 Burlington, North Carolina manufacturing facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>       Arrue Hopkins, a former US Army Specialist, served with the 151st Field Artillery Regiment and was diagnosed with a spinal cord condition upon return from a deployment to the Middle East in 2011 resulting in life-long mobility issues that have confined him to a wheelchair. The gift of a trackchair will give him freedom to get back outside and enjoy things with his family and get back into fishing, hunting and his favorite activity of going to the beach which he is currently unable to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>       \u201cThis chair is amazing; I cannot wait to take it \u201coff road\u201d and do those things I haven\u2019t been able to do for so long.\u00a0 I am going to put this chair to great use,\u201d\u00a0said Arrue Hopkins, U.S. Army Veteran.\u00a0\u201cI am happy and grateful; I can\u2019t wait to go on the beach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>       Arrue, his son Darius and representatives from The Independence Fund visited Atlas\u2019 Burlington NC manufacturing facility Friday September 10, 2021 for the trackchair presentation, take a tour and meet Atlas employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>      Atlas American Lighting, a U.S. manufacturer of high performing, quality lighting products is honored to partner with The Independence Fund.\u00a0A portion of the proceeds from every Independence Series product sold by Atlas will be\u00a0donated to\u00a0The Independence Fund.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>       \u201cAt Atlas, we are grateful for the service and sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform, and we are proud that through the support of our distributors and the with work of our employees we are able to donate this trackchair to Specialist Hopkins.
