Interns will gain real world experience in project management, estimating, safety, BIM, IT, finance, and marketing while pathing the way for further career development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s program kicked off on June 14 with a virtual intern welcome week where students from across the U.S. learned about different aspects of the company from the leaders in the various departments and divisions. Throughout their internship, each intern will gain hands-on experience working on well-known, large-scale projects at one of Rosendin\u2019s 17 nationwide offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur goal is to hire 100% of our interns after they finish their education. We welcome anyone who wants to grow with us and be an essential part of our shared success,\u201d said Rosendin Director of Human Resources, Julie Moss. \u201cOur team is comprised of unique individuals who bring the intelligence, talent and skill required to make Rosendin one of the nation\u2019s finest electrical contractors. I look forward to&nbsp; seeing what this new class of interns accomplishes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 10-12-week program, interns will have the opportunity to explore their potential careers, gain valuable job experience, fulfill college requirements and grow their professional networks. Interns will work alongside mentors to solve real-world construction industry challenges in project management, engineering, BIM, IT, estimating, safety, cost accounting, or marketing. An internship at Rosendin often marks the beginning of a sustainable and productive career for industry professionals who are committed to making a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosendin\u2019s internship program develops students into prospective employees by helping them realize their full potential.&nbsp; Upon successful program completion, first and second year interns are invited back for the next summer. Once interns complete their education, they are often offered a full-time position. This practice is essential as the firm continues to gain new contracts and grows rapidly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Shannon Hughes is a project manager at Rosendin. Before that, she studied Architectural Engineering at Penn State University and was a two-year project management intern and became an assistant project manager at Rosendin\u2019s Sterling, VA location. \u201cMy internship gave me hands-on experience writing RFIs, doing submittals, and reading drawings and documentation that we didn&#8217;t necessarily cover in class,\u201d said Hughes. \u201cI decided to stay with Rosendin because I felt like everyone was really trying to help me do better. Rosendin makes a clear path for people to rise through the ranks with the help of a mentor who provides clear expectations to get to the next step.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosendin works closely with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and Int\u2019l Brotherhood of Electrical Workers to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
