Kelly Armstrong)<br>David White, President, BSE <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:80px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GRAND FORKS, ND &#8211; Border States Electric\n(BSE) broke ground on a new $9 million 39,000 square foot office and warehouse facility\nin Grand Forks to replace the existing branch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The new branch will have many new features\nfor BSE\u2019s customers and employee-owners including a \u201cdrive thru\u201d area in the\nbuilding so customers can drive in, pick up their orders and drive out to avoid,\nsnow, rain, ice and wind. This larger facility sits on seven acres with a\nmassive yard to store more material for customers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe exist to serve our customers,\u201d said\nTammy Miller, CEO. \u201cThis new facility will dramatically improve our customers\u2019\nexperience and help them be even more successful.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Border States was started by Jim Stolee\nand Buff Thompson in Grand Forks in 1952. They initially operated the business\nout of their homes \u2014 Stolee in Grand Forks and Thompson in Fargo, North Dakota.\nIn the early 1960s, the company later moved into the Grand Forks office and\nwarehouse where BSE is currently located on Mill Avenue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.borderstates.com\/Content\/aboutus_home\">BSE<\/a> supplies products and services to construction, industrial and utility customers. BSE has approximately 2,600 employees and 100 branches in 22 states. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
